Does Same-Sex Marriage make YOU uncomfortable? Courtney Stodden can help with that.

July 22, 2011 § 6 Comments

THIS Sunday – July 24 – New York State will begin to perform fully legal same-sex marriages for all the gays. There will be parties and celebrations and demonstrations and protests.

You name it.

Even though this is a polarizing controversy (for supremacists / snake oil sellers and shell game playing politicians) there must also be a significant portion of the American community that is on the fence about expanding the definition of so-called “traditional” marriage.

Those people should be introduced to a newlywed couple: Courtney Stodden, 16 and Doug Hutchinson, 51.

Courtney Stodden Doug Hutchinson

Traditional Heterosexual American Gothic Sacred Marriage

They met through a mutual friend. Courtney is proud of her vow to not engage in pre-marital sex.

I guess she was really horny as a 14 year old and was totally tempted to bang someone at the senior center, but Jesus whispered into her vagina and she found the strength to abstain.

If you aren’t sure whether or not America’s deeply entrenched and thoroughly conflicted sense of morality, tradition, and sacred adherence to Biblical standards (with fingers crossed behind the back) can accommodate legal recognition of same-sex couples please watch this interview and feel your resistance melt:

The video clip included in the link – the highlighted names in the 4th paragraph – includes more of the conversation that is edited from this video. Watch them both. Really.

is devoting oneself to Christian or Jewish Ideals (the Bible) and then lying to yourself and others (fingers crossed behind one’s back) worse than other types of devotion followed by lying to yourself and others?

  • uppityfag says:

It’s only worse when those little lies and excuses and allowances are turned into laws and amendments that allow the faux moralist to flout the traditions that they seek to impose on others.

    He buys her drugs

  • Will says:

I’m sorry. I do not follow. Why is it the Biblical ideals that become laws or amendments allowing faux moralists to impose traditions on others worse than secular (or Hindi, Islamic, etc.) ideals that become laws or amendments allowing faux moralists to impose traditions on others?

And isn’t the danger of imposing our ideals on others not that simply that we are imposing ideals on others (it is impossible to refrain from imposing our ideals on others) but rather that sometimes the ideals we choose to adhere too are not properly analyzed and therefore are occasionally incorrect?

“Jesus whispered into her vagina” OMG sparkling wine up my nose! Dogs going crazy as I laugh hysterically and try to stop sparkling wine nose juice drip on the Mac.
